I am a mum, a granny and love baking.  I remember as a little girl helping my mum in the kitchen on a Sunday, stirring sauces, mixing batters and learning about baking.  My mum made fruit slices, eccles cakes, biscuits, cakes, and lots of different savoury bakes.  Many of my mum's recipes came from her well loved and used Be-Ro Home Bakes Recipe Book, including her Christmas Cake, always decorated with royal icing and the traditional Santa, Snowman and icing peaks, with a green and red ribbon wrapped around the sides of the cake.  I have those decorations now, kept safely with my own Be-Ro book and loads of very happy memories.  

I've baked for many, many years for my family, for birthdays and family celebrations.  At the beginning of 2024, I started taking some of my cakes and bakes in to my workplace for colleagues and friends to enjoy.  It is because of their lovely comments and encouragement that I decided to set up my own little baking business in October 2024, and here I am now.

I absolutely love baking, and delight in creating different types of cakes especially ones that are colourful and bright.  I like to decorate them with pieces created from cake and fondant to compliment the theme of the cakes I make.
