Baking and Family Traditions

I have always loved baking, ever since I was a little girl helping my mum in the kitchen on Sundays. We would stir sauces, mix batters, and I learned all about the art of baking. My mum made all sorts of delicious treats, from fruit slices and eccles cakes to biscuits, cakes, and savoury bakes.

Many of my mum's recipes came from her well-loved and used Be-Ro Recipe Book. One of my favorites was her Christmas Cake, which she always decorated with royal icing, a traditional Santa, Snowman, and icing peaks. She would also wrap a green and red ribbon around the sides of the cake.

I now have those decorations, kept safely with my own Be-Ro book. They bring back so many happy memories of baking with my mum. I love continuing the tradition of baking with my own family, sharing the joy and warmth of homemade treats.

Baking has always been a passion of mine, particularly for my family's special occasions and celebrations.  In early 2024, I began sharing some of my baked goods with colleagues and friends at my workplace. Their positive feedback and encouragement inspired me to establish my own small baking business in October 2024, and I am delighted to be operating it today.

Baking is my passion. I specialize in creating a variety of cakes, with a particular focus on those that are vibrant and visually appealing. I enjoy incorporating decorative elements made from cake and fondant to complement the themes of my creations.
